Teaching is based on lectures, seminars and tutorial classes. Personal tutorial session allow you to discuss any aspect of the course on a one to one basis with your tutor. You will experience a range of teaching and learning methodologies including real case studies, business simulations, new technologies and relevant contributions from practicing managers.
Recourses at the college include library and computing facilities.
Flexible Programs
All our programs allow you to tailor your program to match your individual interests and ambitions. The range of courses reflects the breadth of programs offered. Each year the structure and content of the courses are developed, in order to continue to meet the changing requirements of the market.
Key Skills
Our programs utilize appropriate quantitative and qualitative techniques in order to enable you to develop the key skills that employer’s value. These include critical thinking and analysis, effective decision making and competence in IT and key software packages.
Assessment
Most courses are assessed by external written examinations. The pass mark in most subjects is 40%.Three- hour examinations are held twice a year. Examination registration dates are strictly adhered to.
Other essential Facilities
Library Services
You have full access to the library facilities. The Learning Resource Center provides high standards of library facilities, supporting all areas of business and management, learning, teaching and research material. Other facilities include Video playback, full printing facilities and photocopying.
Information Technology
An extensive range of software includes a variety of generic PC software for word processing, spreadsheet and business graphics..
These facilities and computer support services are designed to provide help, advice and full support for you in your course work and you are able to access documentation, advice and training on supported software.
Center for Career and Skills Development
The college’s Center for Career guidance and Skills Development seeks to help you make informed and realistic decisions about your future working life through the provision of information and advice about careers.
Students Union
ABMU University College automatically becomes members of the union.
Application and Admissions
We welcome applications from candidates with relevant entry qualifications as prescribed in all programs as cut off entry points.
The Application Process
All applications should be made through the University’s college Admissions Service.
You may also apply online.
It is strongly recommended that you apply before the closing date of 15 December for Semester 1 and before 15 May semester 2. Applications received after this date will be considered, depending on the availability of places.
Tuition Fees
Fees for 2006 are as per attached fee structure.
Further Information
If you are offered a place at ABM University College, you will be invited to attend an orientation programme. Which will include presentations from key academic staff.
This should also provide you with opportunity to talk to current students and to look around the University. We will also endeavor to answer any questions you may have.
